MCAA Bulletin 11

  1. Less than a month to go to performance day in Adelaide! I trust that all intending participants have received a copy of Bulletin 10 that included the Guidelines and Instructions for the weekend.

Don’t forget to pack your uniform – yes, this is your mother speaking!

Saturday, 24th May rehearsal – casual dress advised but please wear casual uniform polo shirt or similar if your choir has one, and name badges, too, if possible.

Sunday, 25th May – Gala Dinner. Neat casual dress at least. Not much time to elapse between end of concert and doors opening at dinner venue. Many blokes will not have time or opportunity to change from their concert uniform anyway. Again, because dinner seating will be randomly laid out, name badges if available should be very helpful.

  1. Your MCAA Committee is considering requests to organize a video &/or sound recording of the Adelaide Gala Concert. The committee needs to have an idea how many members would order such a recording estimated to cost between $10-$15 each. If one person from each choir would please email Secretary Peter O’Driscoll at jpod@bigpond.net.au by Friday 9th May with your choir’s estimated number of orders would be appreciated.
  2. Barossa Valley Tour. Neil Forrest (MMCSA) has advised all choirs’ contacts of the tour offered by Tee Lee Travel for Friday, 23rd Cost $170 per person including lunch. Each choir should nominate one person to receive numbers, names and money to your choir’s account. Please complete bookings as your choir stipulates but by Friday, 9th May at the latest. Procedure for transfer of funds will be advised.
