NOTICE TO ALL MEMBER CHOIRS participating in the Adelaide Festival Concert, 24-25th May 2025

Recently, there have been some uncertainties and confusion about information and details regarding early rehearsals in Adelaide before the concert date.

It has been agreed between the Adelaide Organising Committee and me that it is problematic at this time of year when all choirs are in recess to be seeking such information.

The Adelaide Organising Committee and the MCAA Committee will be reconvening in early February when choirs will have resumed and can more reliably communicate with members.

  1. We will be seeking anticipated numbers of non-Adelaide choir members attending either or both pre-concert rehearsals.
  2. Non-binding expressions of interest will be sought for a possible Barossa Valley Wine Tour on Friday, 23rd May – prices and full details will be provided once the indicative numbers are finalized.
  3. Choirs will be asked to finalise their numbers attending the concert in each part. It is vital that this exercise be as accurate as possible to enable seating and logistics for staging the concert to proceed smoothly.
  4. Choirs will need to take numbers attending the post-concert Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre and collect monies. Again, full details of venue, timings, dinner & drinks options and costs will be provided in early February.

Your MCAA Committee will disseminate a Bulletin to all participating choirs once all details relevant to the above items are finalized. Please anticipate this Bulletin in early February so you can promptly complete the proforma that will accompany it seeking numbers (or nil returns) in several areas as indicated above.
