HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL MUSICAL DIRECTORS WORKSHOP

HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL MUSICAL DIRECTORS WORKSHOP 15TH FEBRUARY
The MCAA held a highly successful Musical Directors Workshop at the Aquinas Centre in Harrington Street Sydney on Saturday 15th February.

The workshop was made possible by the grant that was provided by Create NSW, who allocates Arts grants on behalf of the NSW Government

The workshop was taken by Paul Jarman who will be our Musical Director at the Choral Festival which is being held at the Sydney Town Hall on 1st November 2020.

Tim Cunniffe, who will be the accompanist at the Sydney Town Hall for the Choral Festival, was also in attendance.
Eleven musical directors from participating choirs were able to make it to the workshop.

The gold Treble Clef Award for the longest journey to the workshop went to Simone Bishop from the Perth Male Voice Choir.

Paul Jarman was able to work with a small choir that had been formed for the day from members of the Kuring-Gai Male Choir, the Sydney Male Choir and the Sydney Cantorion Choir.

The MCAA is indebted to Tom Coghlan from the Sydney Male Voice Choir, for booking and oganising the venue, along with all of the catering arrangements.

Recordings of some of the songs were made and can be listened to by going to the following link:
